TILL WE MEET AGAIN:
Voices of the Great War
A moving 90-minute musical revue composed entirely of songs and poetry from the most-musicalized and mythologized war ever, which alas was not the “war to end all wars” that people hoped for but instead the war that defined all future ones. Also includes authentic excerpts from literature soldiers were expected to read and letters from the front in the Argonne Forest by a soldier who was present. Features a cast of three American soldiers, who are followed from home to Europe and all the way to the battlefield, two British soldiers, their wives, fiancees, and family members, an African soldier in the French army, and a mysteriously seductive French tavern girl named Marie. Produced at the Chandler Hall Stage.
